Our Services

We deliver a range of support techniques to help our service users overcome stress, emotional difficulties, relationships and other areas which trouble their lives.
The common element is that they are based on a therapist and service user talking and interacting with each other.

The Manda Centre Counsellors work within a safe and confidential environment.
They bring a wealth of experience, both to the client (Service User) and the Centre.

Some of the issues the Counsellors can help support you with are:

  • One to one Counselling: Telephone Support & Counselling
  • Counsellors and therapists dedicate time to each person, using positive and therapeutic techniques to help individuals manage and understand the effects of significant change, loss and grief
  • Family Support: providing members a combination of one to one and group counselling
  • Suicide Prevention: this is provided when counsellors are concerned with the response and or behaviour of individual clients. The counsellors’ use recognised suicide prevention techniques
  • Alternative Therapies: simple stress reduction supports and enhances progress with counselling
  • Advocacy: practical advice
  • Mediation: between members and employers, education, housing, social security and others.
  • Volunteering: recruitment: training: placement: opportunities
Person-Centred Counselling is a client-centred therapy and Rogerian psychotherapy and is a form of talk-psychotherapy developed by psychologist Carl Rogers in the 1940’s and 1950’s.
The goal of PCT is to provide clients with an opportunity to develop a sense of self where they can realise how their attitudes, feelings and behaviour are being negatively affected. PCT has been proven to be an effective popular treatment.
We treat everyone that attends The Manda Centre with confidentiality, dignity and respect and develop our service in response to the demand of all those we support.
